A home-grown learning community for socially motivated scholars age 3 to 14 who want to take care of themselves, their community, and the world.
Relationship-based Classroom Management
This center is the first of its kind to offer relationship-based classroom management as a Schoolwide initiative. Teachers, students, and parents engage in partnerships with each other through a PART cognitive framework, positive Real Talk sayings, and a Delta Change Process to maximize learning potential for each individual child, as well as collectively as a whole team. Each program is designed to honor the relationships in the room and build connections across our communities.
High-Quality Academics With Social Emotional Supports
Heartwise values the social-emotional development of our scholars, fostering a love for learning. We emphasize self-awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. Our adaptable, 21st-century curriculum supports a multi-age community. With a team of diverse educators—including a traditional leader, Montessori teacher, learning guides, and mentors—we create a trusted, empowering homeschool experience.
Family Focused Support
*Whole Families = Whole Children
Our motto is Whole Families, Whole Children. Our programs are designed to be flexible for working, homeschooled families who are navigating a work-life balance between their professional lives, personal lives, and parenting. We give parents “peace of mind “ while they work, knowing their child‘s intellectual, social, emotional, and physical needs are being met. We are intentional about our school calendar, schedule, program design, and policies to maximize options for families to enjoy the educational freedoms of homeschooling but maximize family time together.
Growing creative confidence.
At Heartwise Scholars, we create learning experiences that builds up each student’s self-efficacy. Self-efficacy is a person’s belief in their abilities to achieve a goal or complete tasks. Through our relationship-based practices, children grow confident in their abilities to learn, problem solve, and achieve academic, social, and emotional goals. They create their own realities in the context of a supportive team of adults and peers which helps them to engage in the hard work of taking care of themselves, their community, and the world.
Building a learning-focused community.
Our programs build a strong community of socially-motivated, life-long learners! With our personalized teaching methods and social cognitive and sociocultural motivational supports, children are given FULL permission to be authentically themselves while learning 21st century life skills and culturally relevant curriculum.
